Weekly Shonen Jump’s biggest showrunner of the decade, Jujutsu Kaisen has seen a phenomenal run since Shinjuku Showdown arc’s kickoff. Months after its commencement, Gege Akutami has finally decided to pen the climatic end of the series with the final chapter of the manga slated to release next month.
In the press release by WSJ on Monday, Jujutsu Kaisen officials gave an update about the ongoing manga confirming that the series will end in next five chapters. Therefore, Chapter 271 which is scheduled to drop on September 29 will mark the end of the series.
Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, shared a message with fans addressing the announcement, stating, “The story will end in 5 more chapters. I am only able to end the story in the way I wanted thanks to the support and cooperation of all my readers”.
“I am working hard to create a final chapter that will (probably) satisfy as many people as possible who have supported “Jujutsu Kaisen”. So everyone!! Please bear with me!!”, the author stated. Just a few weeks ago, Akutami congratulated Kohei Horikoshi on the conclusion of “My Hero Academia,” and now, it’s time for his own masterpiece to say goodbye.
