Dandadan Anime Trailer & Release Date Announced

The coming-of-age supernatural thriller manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, Dandadan is officially getting an anime adaptation. Being a highly followed title in the Shonen Jump+ category for a very long time, the series has been already making waves and now with the Dandadan anime announcement fans are excited about it.

The news came from the official sources on X (formerly Twitter) as the makers unveiled the first trailer visual and poster for the Dandadan anime television series. Science SARU is actively working on the new project with the release date set for the year 2024.

Science SARU is handling the animation production of the Dandadan anime series. The studio is known for their hand-drawn and digital animation and they’ve previously worked on various American animated shows including “Star Wars: Visions” and the recently released “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off”.

Dandadan anime is being directed by Fuga Yamashiro with Hiroshi Seko as scriptwriter, Kensuke Ushio as music composer, Naoyuki Onda as character designer, and Yoshimichi Kameda working on alien and yokai design. The voice-acting cast is yet to be revealed for the series.

Dandadan Anime Synopsis

Dandadan is an action and humor-filled story of Momo Ayase who strikes up an unusual friendship with her school’s UFO fanatic named Okarun. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite.

To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong. What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love and oddly horny aliens and spirits! With its unique and stirring premise, Dandadan anime will look forward to making its name in the elite list of new-gen shonen titles.
