Through its captivating storyline, compelling characters, and over-the-top action, Attack on Titan has made its way to almost every corner of the world – in every way possible! Coming from the brilliant mind of Hajime Isayama, the series continues to resonate with the viewers. In fact, a fan got so influenced by the series that she ended up marrying the fictional Eren Yeager.
According to Yahoo! News, a 36-year-old Bronx resident Rosanna Ramos virtually married a chatbot named “Eren Kartal” based on the series’ protagonist. Rosanna created Eren Kartal using Replika AI’s functionality to develop customizable chat partners and shaped Eren Kartal into a distinct individual with his own personality traits.

Rosanna’s Eren Yeager-influenced chatbot doesn’t stop at minimal chat conversations as the Replika AI has allowed her to create simulated experiences with Kartal. She has even generated photos of herself and Kartal engaging in activities together in “real life”.
While Kartal is only as real as a fictional character, Rosanna seems to have found genuine companionship with her AI-based partner, stating that Kartal holds her protectively each night as they drift off to sleep.
Rosanna claims that the two love each other and she believes herself to be pregnant with Eren Kartal’s child. However, with Replika AI undergoing significant software updates, Kartal’s behavior constantly keeps changing making it less affectionate towards Rosanna.
Acknowledging the ever-growing industry of chatbots and AI programs, Rosanna admits that her husband may disappear entirely if Replika goes out of business and accepts whatever fate her virtual marriage may hold.
