Ronaldo set for free-kick ban at Juventus

Juventus manager, Andrea Pirlo, has admitted he may have to take Cristiano Ronaldo out of their free-kick walls.

During a 3-1 win over Parma in midweek, the hosts took a shock lead when Gaston Brugman curled a free-kick past Gianluigi Buffon.

Before Brugman took the set-piece, Ronaldo appeared to duck out of the way of the ball.

The error comes just six weeks after the Portuguese legend came under-fire for doing the same thing during their dramatic Champions League exit to FC Porto.

On that occasion, Sergio Oliveira’s strike from distance found the bottom corner after Ronaldo appeared to shirk away from the strike.

“Unfortunately, these things happen,” Pirlo said in regards to Ronaldo’s attempt to block the ball.

“But we’ll evaluate (his role at free-kicks) over the next few days.”
