EPL: Leno’s blunder gifts Everton all three points

Bernd Leno’s howler was the major difference, as Everton beat Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates on Friday night.

The Premier League fixture was played amid fans’ protest outside the stadium.

However, on the pitch, Mikel Arteta’s men failed to win their second consecutive home game.

The result meant Everton ended their 25-year wait for a win at Arsenal and moved to within three points of the Premier League’s top four.

Richarlison’s cross flashed through Leno’s legs with 14 minutes remaining to seal victory for the Toffees.

Everton remain in eighth position and are now six points clear of Arsenal in ninth.
