In July 2023, a horrific murder took place in a hotel in Hokkaido, Japan. A 62-year-old man was brutally stabbed multiple times before being beheaded, with his head taken from the scene. Years later, a new development in the case has surfaced, leading many netizens to compare the murderer to Kenshin Himura.
During a recent court trial, it was revealed that the suspect executed a killing technique comparable to Kenshin Himura’s Nine-Headed Dragon Flash. Prosecutors stated that the suspect “stabbed the victim nine times in just two seconds.”
The trial quickly became a major news topic across Japan, drawing intense public attention. Aside from the Rurouni Kenshin reference, netizens also drew comparisons to other fictional characters, with many likening the suspect’s skills to those of Sergeant Mada and Killer Bee.
The case first gained widespread attention in 2023 due to its gruesome nature. A follow-up investigation later revealed that the primary suspect was a 29-year-old woman and that her parents had also assisted in the crime, further fueling public outrage.
