World’s First Ever Dragon Ball Theme Park Announced

2024 so far hasn’t been kind to the dedicated fanbase of Dragon Ball. With the unfortunate passing of series creator Akira Toriyama and the indefinite hiatus of the “Dragon Ball Super” manga, fans have found themselves in a tight spot this year. Amidst all the saddening events, a good news has came from Saudi Arabia – as they have announced world’s first Dragon Ball theme park.

In a press release on Friday, the Saudi Arabia-based Qiddiya Investment Company revealed that they will be constructing the world’s only ever Dragon Ball theme park as part of its “Qiddiya” giga project. The company has released a concept trailer that showcases what the theme park will look like once it is built.

Qiddya Entertainment City located in Riyadh will house the Dragon Ball theme park, which will span over 500,000 square meters. The theme park will eventually feature seven different areas, each recreating iconic locales from the original series, such as Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’s Planet.

As part of a lineup of 30+ attractions, a 70-meter-high Shenron containing a large-scale roller coaster inside will be constructed. Additionally, fully stocked hotels and restaurants will be available at the theme park to allow fans to fully immerse themselves in the world of Dragon Ball for an entire day of fun.

At the park, visitors will be able to join an adventure with Goku and pals as they enjoy the world of Dragon Ball, from the very beginning of the anime up through Dragon Ball Super. While there is no information available regarding the park’s opening date, fans from around the world would certainly be interested in visiting once it is completed.
