Alas, there is no imprisoned princess, forcing the hero to retire in the countryside. But he soon finds himself caught up in millennia-old legends, curses, and a twisted plot involving multiple kingdoms and dragons. Sadly, Bilibili hasn’t made the available for most audiences, but given how well-liked the donghua is it’s most likely to get a distributor soon.
5. Doctor Elise
One of Kakao’s most viewed romantic comedies, Doctor Elise is also gearing up to make its debut on the TV screens in the animated form. The manhwa offers a mix of isekai and historical fantasy while chronicling the prodigal physician Dr. Song’s journey who was a princess in her past life.
As she’s about to meet an untimely death, Dr. Song wakes up in her previous life as Princess Elise once again. Armed with the medical knowledge of a master surgeon, Elise decides to use her second chance at life to mend her past relationships and heal an ailing empire.
4. A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special may not entirely fall in the manhwa with op MC category but it sure does have fantasy elements that make it an entertaining anime to watch this October. The series takes place in a world ravaged by the Shadow Realms, which have rendered most of the land uninhabitable.
During this time of immense darkness, six mages band together to rescue the world from falling into certain doom. However, the group is unsuccessful and the survival of humanity hinges upon magician Desir Arman who’s transported back in time where he has the chance to prevent human civilization’s fall.
3. Gosu
Sequel to the “Yongbi the Invincible” manhwa, Gosu is critically acclaimed for its exploration of themes like martial arts, murim, and revenge. The series tells the story of Gang Yong who makes it his life’s purpose to avenge the people who brutally murdered his mentor.
Equipped with the superior martial techniques taught by his master, Gang Yong sets off to hunt down the four Heavenly Kings who betrayed his master! Gosu delivers an intricate and nail-biting story keeping the readers on the edge of their seats, and its anime adaptation is sure to be a hit among the fans of revenge manhwa.
