Obanai Iguro is one of the few anime characters to possess dual-eye color which makes him stand out from others. Besides his heterochromatic eyes, Obanai carries around a heavily modified Nichirin katana that matches his Serpent Breathing style perfectly.
The sword consists of several twists and turns, resembling his pet snake Kaburamaru. This particular blade is designed so that Obanai can unsheathe his sword vertically instead of horizontally, making it effective in fast-paced combat and landing surprise attacks.

Love Breathing user, Mitsuri Kanroji wields a very peculiar Nichirin sword that’s extremely thin, flexible, and whip-like. Her pink sword’s characteristics mirror her own abilities, which can be attributed to her superhuman flexibility, raw strength, and fast reflexes.

One of the most beloved and funniest characters in the series, Zenitsu Agatsuma is in possession of a yellow Nichirin blade which he uses to unleash his Lightning or Thunder Breathing style while confronting demons in his slumber state.
Unlike most swords that have a single color band, Zenitsu’s sword is adorned with lightning streaks along the entirety of the blade. The yellow sword paired with his breathing technique enhances Zenitsu’s speed abilities making it unable for his enemies to catch him.

The symbolic Red Nichirin has been passed down to ages by the Flame Hashiras with the previous known user being, Kyojuro Rengoku. Rengoku’s fiery breathing style coats this sword with a red flame-like pattern, ensuring that the demons are burned to death.
Being the inheritor of Flame Breathing, he started his teachings with his father but mastered the technique through careful study of the instruction books left behind by his ancestors. While Rengoku died quite early, the strength of his sword was demonstrated well in the Mugen Train arc.

Giyu is known in the anime community as the “Depression King” for his reserved personality and serious but emotionless facial expressions. However, keeping his personality aside, Giyu is a very competent and skilled swordsman wielding a blue Nichirin katana.
Hailed as his generation’s most skilled Water Breathing user, Giyu’s rapid mastery of his breathing technique allowed him to develop an entirely new form called “Dead Calm” which is regarded as one of the most powerful attacks in the series.

Green Nichirin Swords are connected to Wind Breathing users, most notably the current Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa. Sanemi’s sword has jagged green colored patterns engraved on both sides that complement his gutsy and abrasive style.
Sanemi is among the strongest characters in Demon Slayer and the second most powerful Hashira in Demon Slayer Corps who was able to stand against Upper-Moon One with the help of this green Nichirin katana and that speaks a lot about his skills as a self-made swordsman.
4. Tengen’s Dual Nichirin Cleavers
Befitting his flamboyant personality, Tengen Uzui carries an equally flamboyant set of weaponry. His battle weapon isn’t the regular Nichirin sword, but instead, two gigantic dual cleavers that are held together at the hilt by a metal chain, resembling nunchucks.
Despite their heavy weight and large size, Tengen is strong enough to control them well and hit hard with them. The weight of his blades enables them to generate immense explosive force and it’s said that no demon has survived a blow from Tengen’s dual cleavers.
3. Tanjiro’s Black Nichirin Sword
In the list of Demon Slayer Nichirin swords, Tanjiro’s weapon is quite unique and interesting as it is associated with the Sun Breathing technique despite him originally being a Water Breathing user. His blade is pretty standard with an obsidian black tint.
As Tanjiro has a notorious habit of damaging his swords during his encounters with demons, he has switched his blade multiple times with the newest one being the one he found inside Yoriichi Type Zero. However, black swords are not understood much and are seen as a stroke of bad luck for the wielder.
2. Kokushibo’s Flesh Katana
Kokushibo stands atop Muzan’s demon hierarchy as he’s the Upper-Moon One and a former Demon Slayer. His sword is one of the most unique looking in the series, being able to change to his whims as it’s created from Kokushibo’s own flesh and blood.
Before turning into a demon, Kokushibo’s sword was purple due to him being a Moon Breathing user, which turned blood-red having veins and his eyes covering the blade. Kokushibo has named his weapon Kyokokukamusari, meaning “Hollow Cry of the Godless”.
1. Yoriichi’s Bright Red Nichirin Sword
The strongest Demon Slayer to have ever lived, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, similar to Tanjiro, had one of the rarest sword colors out there. Being the originator of Breathing styles and user of Sun Breathing, Yoriichi’s sword was deep black, which used to turn bright red in a battle.
Unlike the rest of the slayers, Yoriichi was born with the Demon Slayer mark. With the help of his sword, he was easily able to scare the shit out of Muzan and almost negate his regenerative powers in a one-sided dual, instilling fear in him.
