Crunchyroll Reveals Chainsaw Man Episode 1 Timings At NYCC Premiere

The season of fall for the anime community is like a bonus gift before Christmas as it just not brings with it spectacular seasonal shows but it also gives a glimpse into the new anime that are making quite a buzz in the neighborhood. And, talking about the buzz, Chainsaw Man is a must-mention name here because it’s going to be the “next big thing” of this decade and luckily, we’ve also received the Chainsaw Man episode 1 timings by the courtesy of Crunchyroll.

On Friday, the leading anime distributor platform, Crunchyroll organized a special stage for Chainsaw Man in the ongoing New York Comic Con event. The event was for the special screening of Chainsaw Man Episode 1 for the U.S. audience which received very positive reviews from the attendees and the news forums like Kotaku and ANN.

Chainsaw Man Episode 1 Synopsis

The episode starts with the portrayal of a fictional world where devils can be found easily roaming around the streets. Denji is introduced as the main character who’s been paying off his late father’s debts by hunting devils and selling his body parts. Despite that, Denji seems perfectly happy with the life he’s built; all thanks to his devil pet, Pochita, whose life he saved long ago.

But, in a brutal world like Chainsaw Man, happiness doesn’t last long, and consequently, Denji’s lack of ambition lands him in trouble in the very beginning. Seeing no further use for him, his boss leads him into a trap by forcing him into a pack of devils which not just changes the course of his life but it also alters his and Pochita’s fates forever.

Chainsaw Man Episode 1 Review

The major attraction of Chainsaw Man Episode 1 is the way Denji and Pochita’s relationship has been highlighted plus, it also brings out the core values of their strong bond that lead to the transformation of Denji into a “Chainsaw Man”. In addition to packing an emotional punch, the first episode doesn’t hold back when it comes to action.

MAPPA has done a great job of blending two seamlessly different elements, delivering a gripping story that will leave viewers eager for more. While some series start off slow, Chainsaw Man doesn’t waste time on all the pointless build-up and throws viewers right into Denji’s story which gets the anime off to an impressive start.

The world-building seems a bit off and bizarre but it comes quite naturally in the anime and most importantly the cliffhanger ending of Chainsaw Man Episode 1 will no doubt be a selling point for newcomers. From its stunning visuals to its gory and bloody depictions of violence, Chainsaw Man presents a vivid world that’s easy to fall into. MAPPA has put all its effort into bringing this series come to life and you’ll get to see more of it when the anime debuts on October 11.
