Japanese Fans Rank “Strongest Sports Manga” Of All Time

The never-ending race of which is the best manga or anime in the community has no stopping! Out of a vast catalog of different genres, finding the best is almost difficult and takes a lot of mind-scratching as well. However, recently, a Japanese television show made this task quite easier by asking fans which is their favorite sports manga of all time.

Almost every sports manga has been adapted into an anime, and the manga industry has an array of such shows. From the classic manga series Slam Dunk to the latest addition to the list Blue Lock, all of these series are full of mind-blowing moments and passionate characters that will excite any manga reader. But, choosing the best sports anime or manga out of it seems pretty difficult!

Junk Sports, a Fuji Television Network, broadcasted a special program on Sunday featuring all the popular sports manga from the industry. According to the program’s survey, a questionnaire was given to 1384 active students who belong to the athletic club of prestigious Sports Universities. From a pool of 2100 total works, the students voted for the “Strongest Sports Manga Of All Time” and the results are here.

The list has been made on the basis of responses received from the students who take pride in their love of sports manga. Many renowned Japanese athletes like Seina Irie, who won the first-ever gold medal in women’s boxing at the Tokyo Olympics, and Yuji Nishida, the ace attacker of the Japanese national team, commented on the influence these works have on their professional careers.
