HyperX, the gaming hardware arm of HP, has introduced several new peripherals to the Australian market, highlighted by the Alloy Origins 65 mechanical keyboard, and the Pulsefire Haste wireless mouse.
For gamers who prefer a more compact keyboard, the Alloy Origins 65 drops the number pad to provide a 65%-sized unit designed for portability, aided by its detachable USB-C cable. It comes with the option of two HyperX mechanical switch types: Red, a linear switch for smooth typing and input, and Aqua, a tactile switch that provides a slight bump with each key press.
Retailing at $159, the Alloy Origins 65 keyboard also includes RGB backlighting and macro support fully customisable by using the HyperX NGENUITY software. Built for durability, its body is made from sturdy aluminium and each switch is rated at 80 million lifetime clicks.
The other headline HyperX addition comes in the form of the wireless Pulsefire Haste gaming mouse, which retails for $139. Featuring a lightweight honeycomb hex shell design to help with quick movements and increased ventilation, the wireless version of the Pulsefire Haste connects wirelessly via a 2.4GHz USB dongle.
Its battery reportedly lasts up to 100 hours on a single charge, while the TTC Golden micro dustproof switches are rated for up to 80 million clicks. Additionally, the Pulsefire Haste has six programmable buttons to help streamline the gaming experience. Currently, the mouse is available in two colour schemes: black and red, plus white and pink, colour combos now also available for the Pulsefire Haste wired version.
Alongside the new keyboard and mouse launches, HyperX also announced the HyperX Pulsefire Mat, an RGB-compatible mousepad, available in multiple sizes.
Each of the new HyperX peripherals is available now, with only a handful of retailers stocking the products at first. HyperX has a strong reputation for developing high-quality gaming peripherals, so the new gear will likely be worth considering when upgrading your PC setup.
