Popular Video Game Tekken Gets An Anime Adaptation by Netflix

The 1994 released game, Tekken is one of the most popular action-fighting games fans ever experienced. From being one of the first fighting games to use 3D animation, to receiving its own anime adaptation is quite a journey the franchise has followed. And, this year Tekken anime will be a dream come true for its beloved fans.

On Sunday, the official Twitter handle of Netflix Anime posted a trailer video of the upcoming anime titled “Tekken: Bloodline”. In the follow-up tweet by the company, Netflix revealed the key visual for the anime as well. The anime is based on the fighting game Tekken developed by the Japanese company, Bandai Namco Studios. Netflix is focusing on growing its anime library and Tekken: Bloodline is another addition to its huge catalogue. The poster confirms that the Tekken anime is scheduled to release later in 2022 however, an exact release date for the anime hasn’t been decided yet. There is also no information about the staff and production studio of the anime.

The story of Tekken: Bloodline exists in its own special chaotic timeline and focuses on Jin Kazama, a character revealed in Tekken 3 game. At a very young age, Jin learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts from his mother. However, things didn’t go the way he wanted to be.

Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage – The King of Iron Fist Tournament.
