After the huge success of Chainsaw Man manga, Tatsuki Fujimoto has become quite a well-known face in the industry and everyone looks forward to his next works. And, in a recent interview, the series creator revealed about his future plans and talked about his upcoming project.
Tatsuki Fujimoto who is best known for his popular shōnen manga series “Chainsaw Man” has finally revealed about his next manga project which is going to be a little surprising for the fans. The author told that he’s working on a new manga with the theme of “Femme Fatale”.
A femme fatale is a stock character of a mysterious, beautiful, and seductive woman whose charms capture her lovers, often leading them into compromising, deadly traps. She is considered to be an archetype of literature and art.
In today’s world, femme fatale is often described as having power over men with her enchantress and seductive personality. Femmes fatales are typically villainous, or at least morally ambiguous, and are always associated with a sense of mystification, and unease.
Makima from “Chainsaw Man” is a perfect example of this theme of femme fatale. And, Fujimoto revealed that he really likes the idea of making a manga on such a woman who destroys everything along her way. Maybe, he’s secretly planning on making a spin-off manga of Makima, but nothing can be said for sure.
Further details regarding the new manga of Fujimoto haven’t been shared yet but soon it will be revealed to the public as well. Tatsuki Fujimoto is a renowned Japanese manga artist and has published various popular works which includes Fire Punch & Look Back. The creator has also won prestigious awards like Shogakukan Manga Award & Harvey Award in 2021.
