Baba Ara also known as Evangelist Roland Olubukola Olomola was a Nigerian Gospel singer and music producer. He hails from ilesa in Osun State, Nigeria. Baba Ara was born on 2nd July, 1962 and died on 31st August, 2004. Actually the caused of his death is yet to be established. Baba Ara had always sang about death and the after life.
Baba Ara produced his first record titled ” Covenant” which was recorded with the choir of celestial church of Christ ( CCC) Okiki Imole Parish, Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. His last known recorded album is titled ” Last Advice”.There arany talented Gospel singers who have tried to keep the legacy of Baba Ara alive using his unique voice ablnd style of singing gospel music, such as ” Arole Baba Ara”, a well- known singer whose style of singing is similar to the Baba Ara style of singing. Baba Ara’s younger brother known as Evangelist Olatunde Olomola also sings using the Baba Ara style and is popularly known as Baba Ara 2.
Meet beautiful wife of late Baba Ara, Idowu Olomola, she was an Alhaja before marrying Baba Ara. She was born into a Muslim home but she was converted into Christianity through his late husband because she loves him so very much.
At a point, she began to peep into Christianity and withdraw back into Islam. It was difficult for her because hers was typical Islamic family. While they were still courting, her parents sent her to Mecca believing that would stop him from marrying her. To God be the glory , she is now a Christian and other members of her family.
