Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has said apologising or begging for things are not a sign of cowardice or weakness and has schooled Nigerians on not seeing anyone who uses the magic words as less. Yomi Fabiyi said this in a post he put out on his Instagram and Twitter pages, noting that he doesn’t use the magic words – ‘Sorry’, ‘Please’ and ‘Thank You’ – anyhow.
Acknowledging that they are vital to peaceful coexistence and integrity of anybody in the world, he noted that he uses them when he thinks of peace, the present, the past and the future.
“There are three(3) crucial words vital to peaceful coexistence and integrity of anybody in this world. An idea every child must be raised with and be made to know the efficacy. They are: THANK YOU, SORRY and PLEASE. I don’t say these words anyhow. But whenever I consider PEACE, THE PAST, PRESENT and the FUTURE I may initiate these words. Use of any of such words is never signs of cowardice or weakness”, he wrote.
Schooling Nigerians, he said these words are not an opportunity for them to make others feel less. “Whenever anyone use those words towards you or act in that light, it is never an opportunity to make them feel less or sign of superiority, you may turn out to ridicule yourself more if you overflog it. Wisdom and knowledge are priceless gifts. Everything is not about social media sweetheart. Be the best you can. Yomi Fabiyi”, he added.
