rsenal free to make Lamptey move, Arsenal have the money to sign Toney and Grealish, Bloom issues Bissouma message in Arsenal roundup….
Brighton owner Tony Bloom admitted the club’s best players ‘are not going to be with us forever’ in a huge boost to Arsenal in their pursuit of Tariq Lamptey.
There has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few weeks that long-serving Hector Bellerin could be leaving the club in the coming transfer window, with the likes of Roma and PSG just two clubs that are linked.
That has led to speculation in the media that the Arsenal board have been eyeing up an ideal replacement for the Spaniard, and have identified the exciting Lamptey as his long-term replacement.
Lamptey left Chelsea in search of regular football, a move that shocked many people, but since his move to Brighton, he became one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and is heavily tipped for a summer move.
He told The Athletic: “The more big clubs there are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I’m delighted with that.
“We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.
“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave.”
Financial analyst Kieran Maguire says Arsenal have money to spend on players this summer, which opens the door to possible deals for the likes of Jack Grealish and Ivan Toney
The Gunners have faced fan protests in recent weeks with fans demanding more investment in the playing squad from the club’s owners, as the fans believe the board are not spending enough money to get the club challenging for titles.
The Gunners will not have European football for the first time in 25-year, have not won a trophy and are so far behind the likes of Manchester City, United and Chelsea that they need some serious money invested into the squad.
Arsenal borrowed some money from Barclays Bank to cover for the Covid Corporate Financing Facility loan they got last year, which covered losses brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, and Maguire says there were restrictions on what they could use the CCFF for.
But the new loan doesn’t have one and that means they have as much as £120million to spend on player recruitments, which means they could sign the likes of Grealish, who is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and Toney, who has just helped Brentford reach the Premier League another a record-breaking season in the Championship.
He told Football Insider: “In terms of the Barclays loan, it’s Arsenal’s money to play with.
“The Barclays relationship gives Arsenal a greater degree of flexibility. That could be beneficial for the club because you don’t have to ringfence it in terms of day-to-day operational costs.
“The Kroenke family have got an awful lot of work to do to convince the Arsenal fans of their intentions. This new loan could be used for recruitment and retention issues.”

There is always talk that the board will spend and sometimes they do. But this is a time they really need to splash the cash or they will struggle again next season
Brighton owner Tony Bloom admitted the club’s best players ‘are not going to be with us forever’ in a huge boost to Arsenal in their pursuit of Yves Bissouma.
Bissouma The midfielder has become one of the hottest properties in the Premier League after his displays this season, with all the top clubs circling for a potential deal for the star.
It has been claimed that Brighton currently value Bissouma at around the £40 million mark, although they may take closer to £30 million and Mikel Arteta reportedly sees him as the ideal man to sit alongside Thomas Partey in midfield.
Now, amid all the speculation that Arsenal are gearing up for a transfer move, Bloom has come out and suggested the clubs best players are not going to be at Brighton forever, which opens the door for Arsenal to make their move.
He told The Athletic: “The more big clubs there are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I’m delighted with that.
“We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.
“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave.”
We are massive fans of Bissouma and firmly believe that he should be at a club like Arsenal, and for the kind of money that he is going for, he is well within that price range of the Gunners.
They would be massive fools not to make a move for the midfielder in the summer, but if they want to improve and get back into that top four, they need to splash the cash and get the right players all signed up.
Arsenal legend Kevin Campbell has urged his former club to extend Alexandre Lacazette’s contract, which runs out in 2022, by a year.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta may not have had the best season at the club this year and will not have European football next season, but there is a feeling that he will be backed in the transfer window.
The Spaniard knows that he needs to add another defender, midfielder and striker to the attack, meaning that he may have to get rid of the likes of Lacazette, who has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid over the past few months.
However amid all the speculation that he is one player that the Gunners may be open to letting go in the transfer window, Campbell has opened up and told the board that they need to make sure that Lacazette stays at the club
Campbell said on the sun: “He’s a great link player.
“We saw him link up with [Emile] Smith Rowe, [Bukayo] Saka and [Gabriel] Martinelli, especially in that Chelsea game and moving on from there proved to be pretty, pretty awesome.
“So I’d extend him by a year”

Look, Lacazette is a decent striker that does add a few goals to the squad, but at the end of the day, he is not that 30 goals a season hitman that the club need to get back into that top four spots.
They need to make room and we believe that Arsenal should sell, despite the fact that Campbell wants to see the club hand him a new contract.
But it will be interesting to see just what happens with the Frenchman in the transfer window
