Tinubu 69th birthday: Bad weather force Osinbajo, Gbaja, SGF, Aregbesola, others to make a U-turn

The All Progressive Congress, APC, National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 69th birthday and 12th colloquium on Monday is reportedly disrupted by bad weather.

This has forced many dignitaries who were supposed to be at Kano by air to make a U-turn.

Some of the dignitaries affected are Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; and the Minister of the Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

Spokesman to the Vice President, Mr Laolu Akande, in a tweet, revealed that Osinbajo would be following the event virtually alongside the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The tweet reads, “VP Osinbajo spending the day celebrating Asiwaju on his 69th birthday was on course to Kano this morning until weather conditions aborted travel plans. He’ll, alongside Mr President, join the 12th BAT Colloquium virtually from the Presidential Villa. Happy birthday Asiwaju.”

The event slated to begin at 12 pm was moved to 12:30 pm because most VIPs are still absent, the moderator revealed on the Zoom platform.

However, about 60 members of the House of Representatives led by Majority Leader Ado Doguwa, who are already around Kano State, are expected to grace the occasion.
